Snapshot of Serie A

There are 20 teams in 'Serie A' which is the top level of Football in Italy. Unlike other European Football Leagues, some of the biggest teams share stadiums (AC Milan & Inter Milan and Roma & Lazio) which means there are currently only 18 'Serie A' venues. Most of the teams in Serie A are based in the north of the country, with only 5 teams located south of Rome. Juventus are by far the most successful team and have won the Scudetto 38 times (although two of these titles are in dispute). Serie A is the 4th most watched Football league in the world with an average match attendance of 24,700.
